Workshop "Tall on the water"

With: PERMASTEELISA GROUP, SOM (Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP), STUDIO ALTIERI, HONEYWELL, SCHINDLER, COUNCIL ON TALL BUILDINGS AND URBAN HABITAT.
Research and project of tall buildings from many points of view: compositive, technologic, logistic and structural. Many lectures were given by professors and leader company directors on these themes.
The workshop was set up as a sort of competition, which was won by my team. The winners will have access to the final stages for the selection of students who can take part in a three months internship at the SOM firm of New York.

Discussion on the design of the metal casing, with the presentation of the manual published by Metal Facades “Utet Technical Sciences” in the new series “design”. Learning the importance for an architect’s knowledge of materials, processes, components and construction issues, but especially expressive on this important architectural theme, workmanship, components and construction issues.
